Most times, multitasking isn’t really all that it’s cracked up to be. I mean, I for one can’t write an article, answer emails, check text messages, and Slack my teammates at the same time. It’s too much! However, I’ve recently discovered the one way I can multitask, and that’s in my skin care routine.
You might think it’s counterintuitive to do a deep dive into skin care during the time of COVID-19. I mean, no one besides my dog or my boyfriend has seen me in close to three months. But I’ve been leaning in to my skin care routine to help ease some anxiety around everything that’s going on, and with that comes multitasking, or as I call it multi-masking.
Normally, people reserve their sheet masking time for their PM routine, but hey, everything is topsy turvy so I’ve been masking in the morning too. But I’ve been killing two birds with one stone by masking while I do all of my admin work—you know, answering emails, following up to missed messages on Slack, and organizing my schedule for the day. I don’t know what it is, but something about wearing a sheet mask while doing work is so luxurious.

Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Mask
If you’re after a bit of morning decadence, it doesn’t get better than this mask. It’s absolutely soaked in Sulwhasoo’s signature essence, jam packed with Korean herbal ingredients like soothing camellia leaf extract, brightening licorice root, and hydrating honey. I love to use this mask when I have extra time to drink that extra cup of coffee and soak up some nice sunshine from my window.
JM Solution Derma Care Ceramide Moisture Mask
If you need hydration, then let me tell you that this mask is the one for you. It’s made from 100% lightweight cotton and is formulated with lush ceramides that lock in moisture. I love to do this mask after I’ve done some exfoliation (chemical or physical) because it also has birch sap in the formula, which helps to soothe dry, irritated skin. Your co-workers will ask what your skin care secrets are after using this mask, that’s how good it makes your skin look!
Dr. Jart Dermask Micro Jet Brightening Mask
The only time I get any sun is when I walk my dog for 15 minutes or the rare occasion I go to the grocery store, so my skin definitely looks a bit dull. That’s where this Dr. Jart mask comes in. First of all, it’s incredibly thin so it sticks to your face like glue. You can eat and drink in this sheet mask if you really need to maximize your morning routine.
But the best part is the brightening effects. It’s made with glutathione, an antioxidant ingredient that brightens and evens your skin tone. There’s also niacinamide, and lemon, orange, and grapefruit peel oil for mega dose of brightening power.
JayJun Rose Blossom Mask
I am obsessed with any type of rose skin care, and this sheet mask is no exception. The best part? The mask itself is that quintessential millennial pink, so it’s perfect for taking mask selfies if that’s your thing. It’s made with actual rose water, an ingredient that soothes irritated skin, and reduces redness, so it’s the perfect mask to use after a tough AM workout.
