No Gym, No Problem: Free Home Workouts on Instagram

With gyms, parks, trails, and fitness studios shuttered around the U.S., people have been flocking to Instagram live to check out the latest trend—online workouts. Specifically, free Instagram live workouts.

I’m a competitive powerlifter, so I follow a lot of fitness-y people, and let me tell you—there isn’t a moment that goes by while I’m scrolling that someone isn’t either a) doing a free live workout, or b) promoting/advertising the schedule for their next free live workout. And trust, I get it! I signed up to take live Peloton classes (back when they were a thing … sigh). Even though we’re all physically separated from each other, there is something really special knowing that at any given moment, there are hundreds if not thousands of people sweating and cursing out the instructor at the same time.

So, if you’re looking to fill in your normal commute time with a cute HIIT workout, or you want to wind down at the end of the day with some relaxing yoga, there are tons of free Instagram workout options to choose from. Best of all, all it takes is a share or like to support these trainers and teachers. It’s a win-win!

Rumble Boxing

Rumble Boxing is a studio with locations in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. If you love high intensity, super sweaty workouts, this is for you. Lace up those gloves, and take out your frustrations during their daily free Instagram live workouts.

UFC Gym

I’m not the biggest sports fan, but I LOVE the UFC. Once, many, many moons ago, I joined the UFC gym because I thought I wanted to be a fighter, but yeah … I’m definitely not cut out for that life. However! The cardio workouts are intense and really make you feel like a warrior. The UFC gym is airing live Instagram workouts nearly every hour on the hour Pacific standard time.

Barry’s Bootcamp

I once took a Barry’s Bootcamp class, and it was SO intense I thought I was going to pass out. In a regular Barry’s class, the intense 60-minute workout session is split 50/50 between treadmill work and strength. They have two free Instagram workouts every day—one is total body, no equipment necessary, and the second is a Bands strength class, where you’re going to need some small resistance bands.

Sweat It London

If you fancy hearing super cool accents from our friends across the pond, check out Sweat It London’s free, live full body, arms, and lower body toning classes. Each workout is about 30 minutes long, and even more helpful, they list their class schedule and all equipment that you’ll need (if any) on their Instagram page.

Head to their Instagram page, check out the link, sign up online for one of their 30-minute or one hour long classes. It’s the perfect way to wind down at night or get in a good stretch after sitting at your desk or couch all day.
