8 Wellness TikTok Videos to Help You Take Better Care of Yourself

I’ve talked a lot about how much I love TikTok for bringing me consistent laughs every day. Whenever I need a little pick-me-up, I open the app, and I can always find a video of an adorable animals, cute babies, or a hilarious take on all of the news going on today.

But TikTok isn’t only about the jokes and laughs. There is a treasure trove of fitness, diet, and wellness related content that I’ve been loving—how to incorporate more veggies into my diet (something that’s fallen to the wayside since the pandemic started), meditation techniques, breathing for anxiety, and so much more. And now, I’d like to share with you a few of my favorite wellness videos from TikTok.

 

1. Eat Better

Like I said earlier, I’m trying to incorporate more veggies into my diet. Before the pandemic and my surgery, I was on top of it, but now, Chick-Fil-A has become my go-to meal when I’m tired and stressed, and it’s starting to affect how I feel. I have literally been craving vegetables but struggle with how to incorporate them meaningfully into my meals. Well, insert this TikTok, which gently reads you for filth while showing you all sorts of delicious, plant-based meals. I’m sold.

2. A Simple Morning Routine

So many morning routines videos are just so complicated. I want to improve my mornings, not completely overhaul my entire life. This video offers three easy tips to make the most of your mornings. I’ve started making my bed every morning, and it really does make me feel better and set a positive tone for the rest of my day.

3. Rhythmic Breathing

I’ve always been anxious—at this point it’s a quirk of my personality. But with the pandemic, racial injustice, Breonna Taylor, and the presidential election, my anxiety has been through the roof. Breathing has always helped center me and bring me down from the anxiety mountain, and the technique used in the video is incredibly helpful at calming me and bringing me back to reality.

4. Make Some Tea

I was on one of my TikTok marathon scrolling sessions, when this wellness video popped up. I instantly felt more calm and put my phone down to make tea, then took a walk outside. It’s crazy how something so simple really inspired me to take a break and do something nice for myself.

5. Daily Motivation

If you need a confidence boost, listen to this TikTok. I seriously have it saved to my phone and watch it on days when I’m feeling lost. It instantly makes me get my stuff together so I can tackle the tasks I need to. Iconic!

6. Stretch Out Your Joints

I’m inching towards 34-years-old, and I may not look like it, but my knees and joints are definitely feeling it. This TikTok is a) adorable and b) also super helpful for releasing pressure in your knee joints.

7. Movement Meditation

Meditation doesn’t mean that you have to sit completely still with your eyes closed for 5, 10, 20 minutes at a time. You can bring the same peace and centering into your life with a movement mediation. The one in this video is designed to ground you and give you positive energy.

8. Leg Workouts
