5 Unique Mother’s Day (& Beyond!) Gift Ideas on Etsy

Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and there are also birthdays, “I miss you’s,” and graduations to think about! While I love the convenience of Amazon, I also like to support small businesses on Etsy whenever I can. Handmade gifts always feel more personal, and everybody loves to get a present that’s unique and tailored to their tastes.

Etsy can also be very overwhelming if you don’t know precisely what you’re looking for. To help you narrow down your search (or at least get you pointed in the right direction), I’m going to share some of my favorite Etsy shops for you to peruse and bookmark for future gifts!

Gems, Crystals, and Jewelry: @ConstantRuckus

This shop is run by Dahlia Fawzy, and she is a total gem of a person (no pun intended). I’ve ordered many things from her over the years, and she is always prompt, professional, and incredibly sweet. She regularly lists hand-wrapped pendants, earrings, and rings, but she also makes stunning OOAK and bespoke pieces, so don’t hesitate to message her about a commission if you have something specific in mind!

I highly recommend following her on Instagram too. She does live crystal shows semi-regularly, and she posts about sales and shop updates.

You can check out her Etsy shop here.

Stationery, Stickers, and Mugs: @ThePaperWilderness

Jenna Puente is the one-woman show behind The Paper Wilderness, and she is another wonderful and talented person who I love supporting! She has a huge selection of adorable, animal pun-filled cards and stationery as well as cute stickers, funny mugs, and calendars.

You can find her art and stationery in some brick-and-mortar shops, but I usually just order straight from her Etsy storefront because I’m a sucker for convenience. Whether you need a card for Mother’s Day, graduation, Father’s Day, or a belated birthday, The Paper Wilderness has a punny animal that will suit the occasion perfectly.

Check out her Etsy shop, and follow her on Instagram for sneak peeks of new stuff and notifications about shop updates.

Cat Art, Cat Earrings, and Whimsical Prints: @BunnyDee

Danielle Gundry-Monji, aka Bunny Dee, is one of my absolute favorite creators. We are kindred cat lady spirits, and she is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever talked to! I started following her on Instagram about a year ago, and I’ve been obsessed with her artwork ever since.

She’s most well-known for her gorgeous and precious polymer clay cat earrings (seriously, you have to set an alarm for her shop updates if you want to snag a pair before they sell out!), but she also makes beautiful stickers, prints, enamel pins, tote bags, and silk scarves. Almost all of her artwork is cat-themed (because we all need Catzilla and Cat David Bowie!), but she does have a few non-cat-related pieces that are equally beautiful and worth checking out.

You can follow her on Instagram or just go straight to the BunnyDee Etsy shop!

Nerdy Jewelry: @BiolojewelryAndSuch

If you have any science lovers, geeks, or vintage fans in your life, definitely check out the Biolojewelry shop. Megan makes such pretty pieces that it’s hard for me to not buy all of them. She makes a ton of very cool molecule jewelry (including molecules for wine, chocolate, and the smell of a rainstorm!), but she also makes dinosaur statement necklaces, constellation keychains, neurotransmitter wine glass markers, and so much more.

She’s also great about making custom pieces, so you can work with her to create something perfectly nerdy that your mom (or whoever) will treasure!

Go browse her Etsy shop, and don’t forget to follow the Biolojewelry Instagram for sneak previews and gift ideas!

Candles For Book Lovers (and Candle Lovers): @Frostbeard

Seriously, who doesn’t love having a house that smells cozy and delightful? I always have a huge stash of candles and wax melts, but I’m also always looking for more to add to the collection.

Enter Frostbeard candles. Roxie Lubanovic creates soy candles with natural cotton wicks and high-quality fragrance oils, and not only do they smell great but they all have a literary theme! With names like Sassenach, Sherlock’s Study, Old Books, and Pemberley Gardens, these are perfect for any bookworm you know. She also makes wax melts, which I love!

The Frostbeard Instagram page is full of beautifully bookish shots, and you can find the Etsy shop here.
